The Welly face old rivals this weekend

The Welly face old rivals this weekend

Unfortunately, Last Saturdays game away at Guilsfield fell victim to Storm Bert and the game was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch. It is a shame because we had prepared well for this game and was looking to gain a positive result there. However, a fitness IPC session was booked in with Jon Aby and we thank the team there at IPC for having us and giving the lads a good beasting.

This weekends fixture will be a tough game for us, Denbigh are a good side, and I predict that they will finish higher than their current position come May. They have match winning players and we have prepared ourselves in the best possible way to eliminate their strengths and take advantage of what we see as their weaknesses.

The lads have trained really well in the last couple of weeks and are chomping at the bit to get back on the pitch and gain positives results to move us up the league table. Although frustrated with the result, we were pleased with the performance against Colwyn Bay and feel if we perform like that in the second half of the season, that we will win more games than we will lose, but, its easier said than done, the players have to go into every game as if it was Colwyn Bay.

A big thank you to the ground staff who have worked hard on the pitch in the last couple of weeks, the weather has been awful, and they have done everything they can for the games to be on, so thank you gents, we appreciate it.

We will go at Denbigh this weekend, our forward players are sharp and powerful and we will fight them tooth and nail to get a result. This club is built on hard work and desire and thats exactly what we will be giving until the end of the season. We beat Denbigh here in July and look to do so again in the league to kick start our season.

As always Welly fans, your support is appreciated by the players and I, and we will hopefully give you the result to go home happy with. Up the Welly.

See you at The Ring
