Road Trip ahead…

Road Trip ahead…

We take the long journey on Tuesday night to Penryncoch which is a trip which not many want to do, certainly on a Tuesday night. It is an 82 mile trip which will take us around 2 hours and 15 minutes on the coach (before traffic). For a part time league, I do not think that this is an expectation that should be required of clubs to make these types of journeys on a Tueaday night. I appreciate that Penryncoch can not do anything about their geographical location and playing teams like us on a Tuesday night will only benefit them but there should be a mile limit for the distance travelled on a Tuesday night and if there is currently, it should be shortened. It may sound like we are whinging but I just think it is crazy from the league to expect to play, that far away, on a Tuesday night.

However, we have a 17 man squad travelling and I can only credit the lads for doing this. It would be really easy to chuck the towel in and watch the Champions League games instead of travelling but absolutely fair play to the lads who are committed and travelling. It goes to show that albeit the league position and results are not what we wanted, there is still flight left and we will continue with this until the season is over. There will be opportunities for players to get minutes tomorrow and impress to stay in the team for the Caesws game on Saturday.

We are really disappointed with the performance and the result on Saturday against Ruthin, we were below the standard we expect and that was shown with the score line. We will dust ourselves down and put a better performance in tomorrow night. We thank the fans who travelled for their continued support.

We will go there tomorrow and give them a good go. Up the Welly!
