Llay welcome league leaders in the WBS league cup
Share
We welcome league leaders Airbus to the Ring this weekend in the 1/4 final of the Welsh Blood League Cup. We had a fantastic win at Buckley in the first round and look to take that performance into this tough fixture. Saturday is a nice break from the league where we look to create a cup upset and progress through to the semi final.
Sadly, keeper Cameron Dutton leaves the club to join Tier 4 side Lex. Cam was a big part of last seasons promotion and has struggled with injuries this season and has not had the game time that he would have liked. Moving to Lex will be a good opportunity for him to consistently play games and the club hopes to see him back in black and white soon. Cam is a top lad as well as a top keeper and personally wish him all the best at Lex, they've got a real coup there.
On the injury front, Ruben Lima was unavailable Saturday due to a thigh tweak and we look to have him back available this weekend. Massive news for us is Morgan Sadler getting the all clear from the Doctors to be back with us, he's been brilliant for us this season and will be a huge boost for us. Saturday will also see the return of Tyrese Caines to the squad.
Congratulations to the reserves on their 5-3 derby day win against Gresford. Forward Kian Turton with a goals and 2 assists as well as goals from the Richardson brothers, Ethan Davies and Elliot Bull. A big well done to the Reserves who have been in a brilliant run of form and it is great to see these lads enjoying their football again the coaching team are doing a brilliant job.
We will give our all this weekend for the badge, from players to staff. We are all still battling and will fight until the end for the club. We appreciate the results haven't been as we wanted and we are all frustrated by this. Let's make sure we all stick together and it will come good.
See you Saturday Welly fans.
