From the depths we rise…

From the depths we rise…

We travel to Caersws on Saturday looking for 3 points. We know that they will be up for the game and understand how big the potential result is for them, being in the relegation battle.

We were excellent away at Penrhyncoch on Tuesday night and full credit to the 16 lads who travelled the 2hours 30 minutes to the game. We had 2 massive chances in the game that could have swung the result but we were undone by a fantastic individual goal from their winger. To a man, we were excellent but specific shoutouts to Pat (U17s) who started on the wing, Dylan Evans (18) and Callum Hodkinson both playing central midfield who aren't midfielders by trade and Harry Cartwright (18) who filled in at centre back, all, fantastic. Zac Jones (16) made his 1st team debut off the bench and Harry Roberts (16) made his second 1st team appearance in a week playing the last 20 minutes. All, a huge credit to the Football Club and their respective age group side.

Unfortunately Tuesday night sealed our league fate mathematically but we will fight for the club until the end of the last game. The focus now is to finish above Prestatyn, who we play in a couple of weeks as having targets, albeit ones we don't want to have until now, are important. Until the end of the season now is about pride and willingness to stick together as a group. We will prepare as usual for the game and go there wanting to gain maximum points. We beat them at home in September and look to do the double over them.

We hope to see Welly fans at the game, your continued support is appreciated by the players and I. Up the Welly.
