Clash at The Ring: Llay Welfare vs. Airbus Showdown!

Firstly, I just want to give a big well done to the players who made their debuts away at Holywell on Boxing Day. Unfortunately, we had a number of players unavailable and a few reserves stepped in and were excellent so full credit to Pat Kaewthong and Ethan Davies who started and Kalvin Williams and Mark Shaw who came off their bench, all to make their debuts. We created chances in the game and on other day could have taken something out of the game.
We welcome the league leaders Airbus to the Ring and we know that New Years Day will be a tough challenge. It is a positive that we are at home and we will give them a good go and try to win the game.
We welcome Dylan Evans, Callum Simpson and Taylor Harris to the club from Connahs Quay and Stephen Donkor the former Stalybridge Celtic and Runcorn Town forward to the club. We hope that we will get another couple of signings across the line too before the end of January.
Congratulations to U17 players Zac Jones, Harley Jones, Jay Davies and Harry Roberts who will be available for the 1st team if called upon in January. They have been fantastic in training and it is vital that the club keeps its best young players and slowly introduce them into the 1st team. All reserve and U17 players who have earnt their call ups to training with the 1st have been a credit to their sides.
I want the club to be in the best possible position both on and off the pitch come the end of the campaign on the pitch. The committee are brilliant with their off the field duties and we look forward to officially opening the new stand against Airbus. Well done to all involved.
We hope all the Welly fans had a Merry and festive Christmas and hope that we can give you a late Christmas present with a win on New Year's Day.
