Chasing Victory: Welfare Hits the Road to Guilsfield!
Share
We travel to an in-form Guilsfield side and are expecting a tough game in Welshpool. They have a new manager and their players will want to impress and stay in the side. We have identified their perceived strengths and will have a game plan to try and eliminate these.
We were excellent against Denbigh and fully deserved the win. The management staff and I have added an extra fitness session per week for the lads which has been a good opportunity to get the lads together in a different environment as well as gaining extra fitness into the legs. We are exploring every avenue and leaving no stone unturned to stay in the division.
A big well done to the lads from the reserves and U17s who have had the opportunity to train with the first team. Their attitude has been excellent and conducted themselves impeccably and are a credit to their sides. We hope to see Rhys and Dan Lloyd back training again soon as well as signing local young keeper Ozan Topal who will add further quality to the goalkeeping department and will be available for all 3 Welfare teams. Additionally, a number of the reserves and U17s will become available for the 1st team when the window opens, more on this in the coming weeks.
We will hope to have a strong squad available for the trip to Guilsfield and we will be look to get at them and show our qualities going forward. We have a tough run of games over the Christmas period (Holywell A 26th Dec and Airbus H 1st Jan) and after that we play a lot of teams around us in the league, mainly at home which we will be targeting to gain maximum points from.
We hope to see a lot of Welly fans at Guilsfield and hope to send them home with an early Christmas present of 3 big points.
