First team manager Jordan Scott and his backroom staff will step down from their roles at the end of the 24/25 season.
Jordan, ‘The management staff and I have made the decision to step away from the club when the season finishes on Saturday against Guilsfield.
Firstly, I just want to thank the Chairman Kieron Fox, President Vaughan and Michael Gadie for giving me the opportunity to manage at this level for the first time and this is something I will be forever grateful for.
Unfortunately I have not been able to keep the Football Club in Tier 2 and this is something that I am extremely disappointed with. As much as I’ve loved every minute of the journey, it has also been an experience that I have learnt from immensely.
I hope that the Football Club uses this season as a learning curve and come back stronger when they get back to this level. Tier 2 is an extremely competitive division where commitment and willingness has to be an absolute non-negotiable trait for players and staff. Football has no hiding places and people who don’t want to put in the hard work will get found out very quickly at a good level.
I want to thank Dean Bryan and Chris Hibbert who stepped in to help when I got the job, their experience and time really did help me and I am thankful for that.
Llay has some great people at the Football Club and I do believe with the correct foundations and vision it can be a stable Tier 2 club. I appreciate all of the supporters who came to watch us home and away, their support is brilliant and I can’t credit them enough.
The management staff and I wish everyone at the Club a happy and healthy future.’
